In my most recent project, which was about camera angles and shots, My friend and I told a narrative story about expo markers competing against one another to find the "juiciest" marker. I was able to intergrade something I enjoyed doing into my project allowing me to truly get the most experience since it was something I'm interested in. Another project we did was about camera movements, in this project I did a horror short film about two girls arguing over a guy they both liked. This project reflected real issues that occurs in real life which made the film overall more exciting to do. By being able to use the camera movements we learned class, like static or tilt, it allowed me to understand these types of movements better.
For my project with camera angles and shots it was difficult at first to come up with an idea that a story could be told based off an inmate object. Eventually we were able to come up with the expo markers idea but it showed me that not all projects will be easy to complete and it also helped me build my problem solving skills. Another challenge was making sure we were able to intergrade the specific shots required into our short films. This was difficult because sometimes certain shots didn't make sense or fit into the context of the film which lead us to having to add more scenes or change the story line to fit the shots.
When I used to watch movies or shows I would've never thought to myself that the specific scene I was watching was a pull in, now when I watch films I tend to reference back to my class and the shots I've learned. Not only this but I've learned that there is an extensive process behind films and every shot is for purposely done for a reason.
If I were to do things differently in future projects it would definitely be to slow down and catch up with my ideas in my head. I find myself imaging how I'm going to do projects before I actually fully think about how I'm going to actually perform everything that I'm picturing. If I were to slow down I feel like it would help me with time since I usually have to go over my ideas and change things because they don't make sense.
